Pantry for the People
Our preschool has been a proud supporter of Pantry 4 the People for the past few years.
Pantry 4 the People is a charity that was created by a local mum to support those in need. The pantry provides food, toiletries, and baby care items 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
Our preschool makes a delivery to the pantry every Friday afternoon filled with donations from our families. These donations include non-perishable food, fruit, vegetables, toiletries and baby care items.
We also ensure that we have meaningful discussions with our preschoolers to teach them about the importance of kindness and helping those less fortunate.
If you would like to visit the pantry, it is located at 1555 Botany Rd Botany.

Mascot Library
Students visit Mascot Library where they enjoy listening to story books read by the Librarian who works with all the books and helps people in our community to develop a love of reading. Time is then spent looking through the children’s section of the library and choosing books they would like to read. The Librarian extended an invitation to the children to come back to visit the Library with their parent to join so they may borrow books to take home to read.
Fire Brigade
Students from our preschool were very fortunate to have Mascot Fire Station visit to support the children’s interest in people in our community who help us. The Firefighters talk to the children about what they do and how to stay safe if there is a fire. The children even got to practice getting down low to “go, go, go”. The Firefighters showed the children their uniform and talked about what each piece of the uniform did to protect them. The most exciting part was when we got to take a closer look at all of the tools and fire hoses in the truck! The students then had a group photo, and the Firefighters were on their way, with flashing lights and the sounding of the siren.
